Where to stay when visiting THE POLAR EXPRESS?

Extend the Magic!

We can’t wait to welcome you to the magical Polar Express Train Ride at the heart of the Yorkshire Dales. It’s an experience that many guests last year would agree can make your child’s Christmas! As a result, we have had visitors travelling all over the country for the experience at Wensleydale. If you decide to do this – or just want to turn the Polar Express into a mini break – why not book a stay with one of our partner hotels?

The Reubens

The Reubens is a brand new hotel which opened in October last year and its manager, Malcolm, is definitely not new to the Polar magic! With 18 differently sized rooms to choose from, including 3 family rooms, the luxuriously designed rooms and large, comfortable beds make it the perfect destination to relax and unwind.

The Rubens, Leeming Bar

There is a fully fitted bar and restaurant, with delicious food and a varied menu including a wide choice of options for children. There is also a well-stocked gin bar for the grownups to wind down.

In the morning, Malcolm and the team will rustle you up a delicious breakfast, with all the usual cooked breakfast options plus continental selections as well. The staff are ever-helpful, going above and beyond to make your stay at The Reubens as magical as possible – just what you need after a ride on the Polar Express!

To book at The Reubens for your Christmas break, visit https://www.thereubens.co.uk/ or give them
a call on 01677 427 850.

The Lodge

For a stay right at the heart of the magic, try The Lodge at Leeming Bar Services. With the site being used as the shuttle bus park for the Polar Express, you are right in the action. For anyone travelling and worrying about being able to find your hotel, The Lodge is located just off the M1 at the Services for the area, so the amenities are very good.

As well as having a bar, restaurant and café bar, there is also a McDonalds on-site in case the children (or adults!) have a craving, and there is a Costa coffee on site.

The Lodge can accommodate dogs for up to 2 nights, however dogs are not permitted on the Polar Express so make sure you have someone with you to watch your canine pal during the experience.

The Lodge can be booked by calling 01677 422122 or by visiting booking.com which is the platform they use for online room reservations.

Due to the close proximity of both these hotels to the Polar Express experience, we recommend early booking – we expect in excess of 1,000 visitors per day so early reservations will be in your favour.
